Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar is out with its sizzling 15th edition starring bikini-clad models Dayana Erappa, Meenakshi Rathore, Kanishtha Dhankar, Alliny Gomes, Helena Gomes, Vartika Singh and Nora Fatehi. Incepted in 2003 by the Chairman of the United Breweries Group, Vijay Mallya and celeb photographer Atul Kasbekar, the calendar has lived up to its flamboyant reputation of being the most sought-after calendar featuring gorgeous models in stunning swimwear shot across spectacular and exotic locales like  South Africa, Mauritius, Thailand, Australia and Sri Lanka. Strongly touted as a stepping stone for young models, a bevy of Bollywood beauties featured in bikinis for various editions of this much-loved calendar. Curious to know more? She may be the highest paid actress in Bollywood today. But long before she became the reigning queen of the Hindi film industry, Deepika Padukone was a Kingfisher Swimsuit Model. In the same year she appeared in the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar, Deepika Padukone also made her silver screen debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om. Indeed, Deepika has come a long way from her calendar days to starring in the Hollywood movie, slated to release early next year, xXx:Return Of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel. Adding a tadka to her association with the Kingfisher Calendar was her much talked about affair with Siddharth Mallya, son of scion Vijay Mallya that ended in 2012. The Jagga Jasoos actress made her big Bollywood debut with the Kaizad Gustad directed Boom but as it boomed quite badly, Katrina turned to the famed calendar and featured in the 2003 edition. Thereafter, there has been no looking back for the actress as she is one of the A-listers of Bollywood today. The former Miss India second runner-up, Esha Gupta featured in the Kingfisher Calendar in 2009 and went on to debut opposite Emraan Hashmi in Jannat 2. She was appreciated for her negative role in the recently released critically acclaimed movie, Rustom starring Akshay Kumar and Ilena D’Cruz. Yana, the Czech model featured in the calendar from 2003-2005 and rose to fame with her latke-jhatke replete item song, Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo from the Vivek Oberoi starrer Dum. The former Miss India, VJ and host added yet another feather to her cap by becoming a Calendar Girl in 2015. She was last seen in the critically acclaimed women-centric movie, Angry Indian Goddesses in 2015.
